Spend a Semester Traveling the Seas

Are you looking for a different way to spend a semester or two? If you're thinking about studying abroad but just aren't comfortable with the idea of picking one place when there are so many that interest you, then you might want to consider spending some time at sea.

Sea-based programs offer a great variety of both academic programs and global travel. Some combine their classes with hands-on sailing and sea-based adventures, or use a variety of port stops in different countries to combine academics and leisure time with lessons on global communities and cultural awareness. Whatever you might be looking for, one thing is certain: a semester at sea is something you'll probably never forget and you'll get an education that you can't find in the heart of Paris or in the deserts of Africa.

Semester at Sea (undergraduate students)
Semester at Sea sails three voyages each year for academic credit. Unlike traditional immersion programs, it gives you a taste of the entire globe as students and faculty travel more than 24,000 nautical miles around the world to many off-the-beaten-path international destinations or to a fascinating world region for intensive exploration.

Semester at Sea is the leader in shipboard study abroad education. In the fall and spring terms, students must complete a minimum of 12 credits while circumnavigating the globe in 108 days.
